  • Do you find yourself running from one to thing to the next and reacting to what comes at you?
  • Do you find yourself edgy, “off”, feel anxiety but you cannot put a finger on it?
  • Do you feel stuck in your relationships, personally or professionally and repeat similar patterns of inner, or outer conflict?

It is important in life to take time out to slow down, be present, and be open to new ways of being, and doing. I took this photo on one of my favorite roads in the world, recently when I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and felt “off”…

In order to move, we must disrupt. To realize a dream, we must get uncomfortable. On the way, there will be unexpected events that throw us off center, but it is then we can remember, we are in choice in how we respond, and remind ourselves of the larger purpose.

Do you find yourself resisting change, even good change, and you start to feel uncomfortable, or doubting yourself and your decisions?

Do you find yourself wishing that things would slow down, and get back to “normal.”?

Sometimes, yet, often, when we start to experience even the change we desire, disruption…

You never need to ask permission to be yourself. Go for what you truly want, versus what you think others expect. Let go of fear. Surrender to being YOU, and be amazed at the freedom and gifts you experience. This is core confidence.

…Are you afraid to stand out and give yourself permission to BE YOU?

…Do you downgrade your talents and feel uncomfortable accepting praise?

…Do you doubt your abilities and values and experience the “imposture syndrome”?

… Are you afraid to go for a new career goal for fear of failing?

…Do you compare yourself to others and…

Do you forget to slow down and take a moment to reflect on what truly drives you, what you care about, and HOW you can incorporate this into life, and career? We often don’t take the incremental time to go within with intention and purpose. As a result, we can feel that life has swept us up and we can feel empty, soulless and unfulfilled. But if you develop the practice to quiet your mind for a few minutes every day, you will be amazed at the clarity you will come to find so you can live a life and…

Micro-goals are your “empowerment tools”. Create them and realize the incremental successes each day. You will be amazed at what you can achieve.

Do you know your most important priorities to accomplish each day? Do you create micro-goals for yourself, follow through on them, and celebrate your incremental successes daily? OR do you find yourself getting frustrated, overwhelmed or stagnant because either you have you do not know how to accomplish your priorities, or your goals are too lofty?

Oftentimes we experience the latter, and we give up because our priorities and goals may have been unrealistic, or unaligned with our true desires. As a result, we become hard on ourselves because we have not accomplished them, and lose our confidence. Let 2021…

Time to step forward, believe stronger, and move bolder in 2021.

This year has been… full, to say the least. Overflowing with tensions and unrest, uncertainty and challenges. For some this year may have been your hardest yet or, it may have been a welcomed relief, back to simplicity, spending time with family, doing creative endeavors, clearing out, savoring no commute, and more focused time to work. Maybe it felt like a time to reset, gain new perspective on those things we all assumed were set in stone.

For me this year has been one of the most transformative of my life. This time has forced me to go within, deeply…

Last year while in Mexico (oh how nice that sounds right now), I was exploring and came across this tiny little outdoor restaurant with the entry way that had the word YES painted on a pink pillar.

I stopped, and contemplated what YES meant from me. I believe that saying YES is an art that can be learned, and is also about believing in yourself to realize your potential despite the resistance you have felt in the past. Whether it be fear, self-doubt, or allowing someone else to convince you to say “NO, I cannot do this, it’s not practical…

As I spent this past long weekend snowshoeing, carving out a path, reflecting on; what I am thankful for, how I have grown, what I have learned about myself, and where I want to go this next year, I became keenly aware that the time is now to step forward, believe stronger, and move bolder in order to let go of paradigms that no longer serves us so we can realize our potential, individually and collectively.

Are you feeling the desire you to move in a new direction in how you think and feel, and carve a path unique to you in your career?

When you decide to step forward, believe stronger, and make bolder moves for yourself, you feel more confident, and proud of the steps taken…

I took this photo last year in Mexico. It reminds me that I am eternally thankful for the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years. Yesterday I received an email from a past client of mine whom I have had the honor of working with. She was the president of a well-known university and reached out to let me know how much impact I have had on her life.

“Rachel, it has now been nearly a year since we last spoke, and I want to thank you for all of the wisdom and support you shared…

I believe that every person has the potential to create a story of transformation that’s so great, it serves as an inspiration and model for community, and the world.

Conscious leadership comes from within. One must show up authentically, be quick to respond, and make aligned decisions. The balance between strategy and mindset, clarity and purpose, courage and creativity, are what creates extraordinary, positive change.

The balance of these facets help us to cope with rapid shifts in an ever-changing world with more confidence, focus and ease. We all have the responsibility to reshape our mindsets, our careers, and be a model for growth and transformation. We can all support each other.

Let’s do this together.
